Meet Dr. Deka Efobi

Dr. Deka Efobi was born the youngest of five siblings. As a child she traveled extensively with her parents, finally settling in Potomac, MD. She graduated from Winston Churchill High School and then attended University of Maryland where she majored in biochemistry/pre-med. While at UMCP, she was the

Vice President of Social Affairs.

Upon graduation she traveled extensively throughout Europe, settling in Wroclaw, Poland where she attended the Wroclaw Medical Academy and obtained her medical degree. Dr. Efobi was Vice President of the International Students Association and held Deans' List status. Upon return to the U.S., Dr. Efobi completed her internship in Internal Medicine and her Residency in Neurology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C and obtained the Chief Resident position. Her residency training included rotations at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C.; National Rehabilitation Hospital, Washington, D.C.; National Institute of Health, NINDS, Bethesda, M.D. and many other great institutions.​

Dr. Efobi settled in Nashville,Tennessee and starting Neurology Clinic & Associates,LLC in 2006. Since then, Neurology Clinic & Associates has remained in Middle Tennessee serving patients. The office moved to Murfreesboro in 2016 in order to be more centrally located for the patients.​

Dr. Efobi is married and blessed with four children. She is an active member of her community and local church.
